Ølfabrikken 100 Gram India Pale Ale (8,5 %)
This is the second in a range of Ølfabrikken special ales. Starting with the rich and slightly sweet malt profile of a Belgian triple we have added a hop charge every five minutes for full duration of the boil – each hop charge 100 grams larger than the previous one. The result is immensely bitter ale – a 100 IBU’s of course.
Ølfabrikken AA 2006 (8 %)
Once a year the the Danish Beer Enthusiasts celebrates “Øllets Dag” – Day of the beer. This year they wanted something special. Together with the founders of the organization, we made a recipe based on a classic Belgian Dark Ale.
Ølfabrikken Abbey Ale (8,5 %)
Ølfabrikken Abbey Ale is our interpretation of the dark and strong ales brewed in the Belgian monasteries. A more than hundred year old yeast strain provides the beer with notes of raisins and prunes supplemented by a discrete spicy aroma from coriander. The flavor is big and vinous and dominated by caramel. Enjoy it with braised meat, game and ripe cheese. Of course unpasteurized, unfiltered and refermented in the bottle.
Ølfabrikken Barleywine (11 %)
A English style barley wine made from floor malted Maris Otter, British Crystal malt and Fuggles hops. Bottle conditioned for a full year before release.
Ølfabrikken Batch #100 (10 %)
When we were getting closer to brewing our 100′th batch we wanted it to be something special. That is why we decided to confirm all the prejudices about Ølfabrikken and make the hoppiest beer made in Europe in 150 years. It contains almost 100 times more hops than your average Danish lager per liter – and all of it high-alpha US hops. The brutal bitterness is balanced by a full-bodied, but not sweet, malt profile based on Maris otter and caramel malt with some cane sugar adding dryness. Introduced on ‘Københavnske Øldage 2006′.
Ølfabrikken Belgisk Brown Ale (8 %)
Ølfabrikken Belgisk Brown Ale is a fine example of a Belgian Ale. It has a sweet aroma of raisins and darkly roasted malt with a pleasant pepper like taste with notes of dried fruit. There is a hint of some roasted bitterness in the aftertaste. It has a good balance between the alcohol and the sweetness.
Ølfabrikken Bitter (3,6 %)
A classic British best bitter with some extra “oomph” from dry hopping in each cask. Brewed with Maris Otter Malt, Challenger, Golding, and Fuggles hops.
Ølfabrikken Britisk Strong Ale (8 %)
An experiment where we tried to make a classic British strong ale as they used to be brewed. A very bitter and flavorful ale hopped with copious amounts of British whole leaf hops added in several steps during the brew process – with the last addition directly in the cask from where the ale is served. Spicy, floral aroma combined with a firm malt profile makes this brew strong tasting, but still very quaffable. Brewed on Maris Otter ale malt, two types of caramel malt and the finest Demerare cane sugar.
Ølfabrikken Cascade Bitter (3,5 %)
Ølfabrikken Cascade Bitter is a refreshing, slightly bitter beer. It is brewed according to the original British bitter tradition but hopped with US hop Cascade. British Maris Otter malt adds a flavour of biscuit. The aftertaste is pleasant and slightly bitter.
Ølfabrikken Clansman, Richards Barleywine (8 %)
A malty and easy drinkable barleywine with notes of caramel, chocolate, baked chestnuts and discrete hopping. The beer has been matured for several months before release providing it with a soft character.
Ølfabrikken Columbus Pale Ale (5 %)
ØLFABRIKKEN COLUMBUS PALE ALE is a tribute to the American Columbus hop, which we love so much at Ølfabrikken. The beer presents itself with astonishing pungent aroma of pine and grapefruit, which is coming back in the flavor, balanced by sweetness from British caramel-malt. The aftertaste is long and dry and characterized by hops bitterness. Serve it with creole food such as blackened fish and dirty rice with melted butter, homemade chili/raisin/apple chutney.
Ølfabrikken Dark Mild (3,8 %)
ØLFABRIKKEN DARK MILD is our March experimental ale and our interpretation of the British worker’s favourite ale. Dark Mild is unusually complex for a beer with such modest alcohol content. It is a bit hoppier than traditional Milds and as such more refreshing. The malt profile is adjusted with a pinch of molasses sugar, providing notes of dark rum.
Ølfabrikken Dekadence 2005 (13 %)
Near Ølfabrikken is a field with 1000 raspberry plants carrying a late sort of small and very flavorful raspberries. Once a year we pick the raspberries and throw them into a single brew. Due to the harvest 2005 was characterized by more rain and colder weather than usual, which meant that the berries were tarter than usual and even more complex in flavor. We decided that the base beer should be complex and sweet to match the berries. The resulting beer made from seven different malts, three different sugars, five different hops and Belgian ale yeast provides a huge body and complexity matching the raspberries.
Ølfabrikken Det Fri Pale Ale (6 %)
Brewed specially for the 35th anniversary of “Det frie Gymnasium”. Concept, recipe and graphics are done by the pupils of the school, in cooperation with Ølfabrikken. This is a single hop ale, using only whole leaf Cascade. To underscore the fruitiness of the English ale yeast and the hops, coriander seeds have been added during the boil.
Ølfabrikken Efterår (6,5 %)
Our Autumn Brew is a dark and malty Ale with four different caramel malts combined into a rich and slightly sweet malt profile. Aromatic Czech Saazer hops supplements the fruitiness from the yeast.
Enjoy it at 10-12 degrees Celsius with roasted, salted chestnuts with butter on one of those wet, cold and dark Scandinavian autumn afternoons.
Ølfabrikken Fabrikator (6,5 %)

Ølfabrikken Forår 2007 (5,5 %)
Ølfabrikken Gammel Ekstra Porter (8,5 %)
Ølfabrikken Gammel Ekstra Porter (Old Extra Porter) is an attempt to recreate a porter as it used to taste in its heydays. This beer starts with a pitch black wort which is boiled for 14 hours. This is necessary to obtain the slightly acidic flavor of burned sugar characteristic for the way these beers were produced. Aged 6 months before release.
Ølfabrikken Gæstebryg #1 – Mikes Barleywine (9 %)
ØLFABRIKKEN MIKES BARLEYWINE has been created by American brewer and beer connoisseur Mike Murphy, who wanted to brew one of the (in)famous styles from his homeland. This has resulted in a strong and assertively bitter ale (90+ IBU’s) dominated by Cascade, Chinook and Centennial hops, but still with enough sweetness to counter the hops. A bit of roasted barley provides depth and complexity to this truly unique brew.
Ølfabrikken Gæstebryg #2 – McWilder (6 %)
For the second time we have invited one of our colleagues to come by and do any brew he or she would like. ØLFABRIKKEN MCWILDER is a Scottish ale brewed with no less than three types of roasted malts. The result is a complex ale with a pleasant malt sweetness and notes of smoke and chocolate. McWilder is brewed by Nick Wilder who has been trained in the art of brewing in both USA and Germany.
Ølfabrikken Gæstebryg #3 – Gunnhilds Kriek Bruin (7 %)
For the third time we have invited one of our colleagues to come by and do any brew he or she would like. Gunnhild Kolvereid, Brewmaster at Brewpub Copenhagen, has made a sour brown ale brewed with a normal Belgian ale yeast as well as brettanomyces, pediococcus and lactic acid bacteria. The beer has been matured on French oak and sour cherries and bottle conditioned for six months before release. It is bottled with brettanomyzes which provides the beer with a nice sparkle underscoring the refreshing sourness.
Ølfabrikken Gæstebryg #4 – Anders’ Røgporter (6,5 %)
A dark and cold morning in the winter of 2007 Anders Kissmeyer from Nørrebro bryghus fired up his little smoke oven and started the slow and cumbersome process of preparing the malt for his guest brew on Ølfabrikken. The result of the many hours of hard work in smoke and ice cold winds is in this bottle. It is a brewed with the traditional London Porter in mind, but with a unmistakable Scandinavian twist, with its strong notes of elder-wood smoke.
Ølfabrikken Gårdbryg (7 %)
A dark and refreshing ale belonging to the family of “farmhouse ales” which used to refresh and strengthen the farm-workers all over Europe after a hard day in the fields. This is a darker winter-type which has the alcohol strength to make it suitable for celebration as well. Dark – almost black in color – but not burned or roasted. With lively carbonation and a creamy café au lait colored head, this beer presents itself well in the glass. The hops provide the beer with refreshing dryness and bitterness. Whole hop flowers added during maturation maintains the freshness. A little bit of roasted malt gives notes of coffee and cocoa without leaving a burned flavor. Mixed fermentation with a Belgian and a neutral American yeast provides a complex profile with nuances of cherries and honey without excessive fruitiness which could interfere with the hoppiness.
Ølfabrikken Hymne til Ninkasi (6 %)
In the 1930′ties archaeologist found some 3800 year old clay tablets, which described how a fermented beverage was brewed by the Sumerians. The poem in the clay tablets was called “The Hymn to Ninkasi”. When we brewed the beer we baked some bappir, which is dried bread made of barley, honey and dates. The bread was mashed with barley malt. It does not contain hops and it is not boiled either. A mixture of wine yeast, wild yeast and acid producing bacteria are responsible for the fermentation.
Ølfabrikken Høst India Pale Ale (6,5 %)
Also known as “Ølfabrikken Sommer IPA 2007″. Characterized by a light and elegant malt profile supplemented by intense and non complex hops.
Ølfabrikken Imperial Cream Ale (9 %)
There are Imperial Stouts, Imperial IPA and even Imperial Red ales. They are all stronger and hoppier versions of regular beer styles. Our bestselling beer at Ølfabrikken is Ølfabrikken Cream Ale. We have decided to pay tribute to our little cash-cow by making an “imperial” version of it. Ølfabrikken Cream Ale is 8% alcohol and 100+ IBUs. It is characterized by great mouth feel, soft carbonation and great balance between sweetness and bitterness as a result of the 6 month maturation period. Enjoy it with strong soft cheese. Only 1240 bottles has been produced.
Ølfabrikken India Brown Ale (6,5 %)
This is our September 2005 Special Ale. It is a strong version of our Brown Ale with an extra load of hops. Dry hopping with whole flower Centennial hops directly in each cask provides some extra punch.
Ølfabrikken Infernale (9 %)

Ølfabrikken Islay Cask Russian Imperial Stout 2005 (9 %)
Ølfabrikken Islay Cask Stout is an extra strong stout, stored 1 year in a well used Bowmore whisky keg and afterwards bottle stored for 1 more year. This beer is the first of its kind in Denmark, and only 596 bottles were filled.
Ølfabrikken Jule Ale (8 %)
An unconventional Christmas brew that departs from the tradition of Winter warmers being sweet and malty. Our Christmas brew is abundantly hopped with the four American C’s: Cascade, Chinook, Columbus and Centennial. Cinnamon and coriander provides the Christmas spirit and adds to the merriness. Brewed on Maris Otter ale malt, crystal malt, wheat malt, soft brown sugar and Demerare cane sugar.
Ølfabrikken Kaffeporter (6,5 %)

Ølfabrikken Nytår 2006 (10 %)
This was our New Years brew for 2006. It is a bittersweet brew with an assertive sparkle from natural Co2. Three types of caramelized sugar provide this brew with character and a beautiful red color. Refreshing bitterness from German and British hops blends with malt sweetness and caramel flavors, making this brew a robust companion for both cake and cigars.
Ølfabrikken Nytår 2007 (8,5 %)
This beer combines the best from the world of wine and beer. Each bottle contains the juice of a pound of white Spanish grapes, adding vinous notes and a pleasant fruity sweetness. The wine-like qualities is augmented by hints of bitter almonds from the Belgian Ale yeast.
Ølfabrikken Oaked Stout (6 %)
We have aged our regular “Ølfabrikken Stout” on roasted American oak, which provides this beer with added complexity from the wood and smoothness from the extended aging. The oak chips are left within each cask so that the stout changes and matures over time.
Ølfabrikken Oak IPA (7 %)
Every year the Danish Beer Enthusiasts celebrates Øllets dag – “the Day of Beer”. And every year we brew a beer for this special occasion. This year it is a strong flavoured, dry India Pale Ale matured for several weeks on Golding hops and toasted American oak providing it with strong flowery notes balanced by vanilla and wood aromas from the oak. The flavor is slightly sweet with a long bitter and dry finish from the combination of wood and hops. 7,0% ABV * 17P * 90 IBU.
Ølfabrikken Oakwine (9 %)
A pale wort made from British Maris Otter is boiled for 12 hours to provide Ølfabrikken Oakwine with a deep sweet caramel flavor. A long maturation on oak provides notes of vanilla.

Ølfabrikken Pale Ale 2007 (5,5 %)
We have reformulated the recipe for our pale ale from scratch for 2007. The new version of our pale ale is lighter in body due to the use of German pilsner malt. The hops are all US grown and they are increased quite a bit. The result is a light and slightly dry pale ale with a dominating hop presence and a relatively long, bitter finish. Ølfabrikken Pale Ale (2007) is easily recognizable by its blue label.
(Please notice, that a single batch of the “old” pale ale is on the streets with the new label. Ølfabrikken Pale Ale 2007 should have batch number 274 or later).
Ølfabrikken Petit Blau (6,5 %)
The winner recipe from the Scandinavian home brewers competition 2006. It was brewed by Eric Olofsson on Ølfabrikken in July 2006. It is based on a mix of Maris Otter, Pilsner and wheat malt, fermented with a mix of ale yeast, pediococcos, brettanomyces and lactobacillus and conditioned on whole organic blueberries.
Ølfabrikken Pilsner 2006 (5 %)
When the weather gets cold enough we brew bottom-fermented beers at Ølfabrikken. Based on a fairly traditional malt-bill consisting of German Pilsener malt, light caramel malt and a bit of Munich this beer is unconventionally hopped with American Glacier hops adding notes of citrus and peach, but without overpowering the malts.
Ølfabrikken Porter++ (9,5 %)
After a few beers things tend to go wrong – also in the brew house. One day, when we were doing Ølfabrikken Porter we ended up with a gravity slightly (well, ok, significantly) higher than expected. There was nothing left to do but to let it ferment and blend it into a batch of our regular Porter. It was of course delicious and before blending it we saved a couple of hectoliters to be savoured at special occasions.
Ølfabrikken Påske Ale (6 %)
ØLFABRIKKEN PÅSKE ALE (Easter ale) is an amber coloured ale with a caramelly finish, but it is nonetheless refreshing thanks to the citrusy Cascade hops. Its unusually low ABV (for an Easter brew anyway) underscores its usability with traditional Danish Easter food.
Ølfabrikken Quadrupel (11 %)
A rich and bitter-sweet strong Belgian ale made with barley malt, wheat malt, caramel syrup, muscovado sugar and a little bit of British chocolate malt for color. The hops are all German and provide bitterness and spiciness to balance the fruity yeast. This ale has been matured for a full 6 months before release, to integrate the powerful flavors.
Ølfabrikken Rauchbier (6 %)
A refreshing smoked ale made with German beech smoked malt, chocolate malt and German Perle hops.
Ølfabrikken Rug India Pale Ale (7 %)
This is our interpretation of the hoppiest of all beers, as it was served to the British troops in the eighteenth century. We have chosen to give this a Danish attitude with the addition of large amounts of malted rye. Together with excessive quantities of American hops this yields a complex and intensely bitter ale with a spicy bouquet and flavor. Enjoy it with spicy dishes, where the bitterness will complement the flavors.
Ølfabrikken Rug Mild (3,2 %)
An “easy to drink”-beer with a low alcohol content and full in flavour. Sweet with flavours of chocolate and nuts.
Ølfabrikken Rugvin (8,5 %)
This strong ale, partially based on rye, is heavily hopped leaving strong notes of grapefruit and a firm bitterness balanced by a malt body with lots of caramel. The ale has been conditioned for a minimum of four months before release.
Ølfabrikken Rød/Wit (4,5 %)
Ølfabrikken Rød/Wit is a different fruit beer, being less sweet than many others of this type. Raspberries provide the beer with a discreet fruitiness and acidity. The beer is also more hoppy than most fruit beers and the bitterness from the hops underscores its refreshing qualities. Enjoy it cold as a aperitif or use it as a palate cleanser between two dishes.
Ølfabrikken Saison Kamille (6,5 %)
The heart of this beer is an aromatic yeast from the Ardennes region in Belgium fermented at very high temperature (>30 deg. C). This provides the beer with a range of interesting flavor and aroma components and leaves the beer bone dry as a true Saison should be. Even though the beer gets its inspiration from the Belgian Saison brews, it has its very own Danish character from the use of Chamomile flowers and freshly picked thyme giving the beer a discrete tea-like aroma and a nice fullness. High carbonation and light body makes this brew uniquely refreshing.
Ølfabrikken Schwalt (5,5 %)
Our February 2006 Special Ale and another fusion-style brew from Ølfabrikken. At Ølfabrikken we love (almost) everything German, and because of that we have combined the two beer styles Schwarzbier and Altbier into one and cleverly named it “Schwalt”! It is basically a Schwarzbier fermented with an ale yeast and cold conditioned like Altbier for two months before serving. The result is a smooth and slightly roasted beer with notes of caramel leading to a dry finish.

Ølfabrikken Sommer Weizen (5 %)
Our summer beer for 2006 is a plain traditional German hefe-weizen, light on the hops and extremely refreshing. The German ale yeast provides notes of clove and a touch of overripe banana.
Ølfabrikken Sortøl (9 %)
ØLFABRIKKEN SORTØL (Black-beer) is our interpretation of an age old Belgian beer style. This ale is pitch-black without being roasted as a porter. The mild flavor of coffee and liquorice is the result of a cold-water extract of burned rye. The flavor is deep and complex with nuances of caramel from, among other things, raisin syrup and Muscovado cane sugar. Two types of Belgian yeast have been used, providing peppery and vinous nuances supported by exotic spices. Serve it with rabbit with raisins, herbs and mushrooms stewed in Sortøl.
Ølfabrikken Stout (6 %)
A full-bodied ale with three types of roasted malt. Beneath the rich tan head is an ale with notes of cocoa, coffee, licorice and a hint of dried fruit. Enjoy Ølfabrikken Stout with BBQ or fried liver.

Ølfabrikken Tisvilde Blonde (5,5 %)

Ølfabrikken Toruplund Ale (5 %)
A special brew made for the Toruplund residential training centre and restaurant. It is based on a mix of pilsner malt and roasted barley lending a slight amber hue to this ale. The hops are all Amarillo which complements the light malt profile with refreshing notes and elder, apricot, and lime rind.
Ølfabrikken Tripel Special Reserve (9 %)

Ølfabrikken Ullerød Superbrugs Pale Ale (5 %)
Ølfabrikken Ullerød Superbrugs Pale Ale is a special beer brewed for the 100th anniversary of Ullerød Superbrugs. American Nugget hops give a hint of peaches and a dry finish. The interplay of the hops and a light caramel malt profile, results in a complex, yet refreshing ale. Serve with chicken dishes, preferably of Asian origin.
Ølfabrikken US Wheat (5,5 %)
A very straightforward, thirst quenching wheat beer brewed with 45% German malted wheat, 45% pilsener malt, 10% munich malt and with plenty Cascade hops providing a nice tart, wheaty finish.
Ølfabrikken Vanilje Ale (8,5 %)
An American inspired strong ale dry hopped with whole leaf Centennial directly in each keg together with toasted oak and whole beans of Bourbon vanilla. Easy drinkable in spite of the relatively high ABV thanks to the dryness from the tannic acid in the wood and cane sugar added during the boil.
Ølfabrikken Vinter Ale (7 %)
Ølfabrikken Winter Ale is a complex double fermented ale brewed to the Danish winter. We have fermented this ale with two different yeast strains – first an English ale yeast and next a Belgian abbey-ale yeast. It provides a unique combination of fruitiness and robustness backed up by six different malts, beet sugar and Belgian candi sugar. With its malty taste and subdued bitterness this ale is the perfect companion for the lightly spiced, traditional Danish winter dishes with dark meat and vegetables.
Ølfabrikken Winter Porter (11 %)
Bottom fermented porter made with Danish honey and matured for four months before bottling.
Ølfabrikken Winter Stout (8,5 %)
A strong, hoppy, pitch black Imperial Stout to warm up our customers during the depressing Danish winter.
Ølfabrikken Wit (5 %)
Light and fresh wheat beer brewed in the Belgian tradition. Spicing with coriander and orange zest provides a piquant aroma with a hint of tartness. The perfect accompaniment to Thai food and dishes with chicken and white fish.
Ølfabrikken ØL (Russian Imperial Chocolate Stout) (10 %)
In the beginning of 2006 the people behind Denmark’s leading beer bar “Ølbaren”, the leading beer shop “Ølbutikken” and Ølfabrikken sat down together to plan a beer that was to be only served from tap at Ølbaren and only sold in bottles from Ølbutikken. After a night of drinking it ended up with a massive Russian Imperial Chocolate Stout using ingredients from four continents. South American Cocoa, Asian coffee, North American hops and European malts.
